You’re just getting to know rising star Jessica Chastain, but in the new horror movie Mama, she’s already eschewed her trademark red locks for a punky black bob as a sorta-Goth, sorta-punk woman who takes in two feral children to raise on her own, though the kids still seem to be communicating with a malevolent spirit they call “Mama.†Yep, that’s a premise! We’ve been hearing good things about this horror number, produced by Guillermo Del Toro; since most awards-caliber actresses eventually take a trek through the horror-movie salt mines, let’s hope that Chastain’s trip is all in good, freaky fun.
