Adam Sandler’s next movie will be Ridiculous 6, a comedy western he just sold to Paramount. Sandler will be writing the script with his old partner-in-crime, Tim Herlihy, according to Deadline. Herlihy began working with Sandler on SNL and wrote some of his most beloved comedies with him, including Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, and Big Daddy. The plot is still being kept under wraps, but Ridiculous 6 is confirmed to be a comedy western, and the title recalls the classic western The Magnificent Seven. It’ll probably just be Sandler and the rest of the Grown Ups riding around on horses and getting into gunfights, with, say, Nick Swardson tacked on to make a full six. Paramount has already set a Spring Break 2014 release date and is scheduling production to begin in April, which is a rare move for a movie that hasn’t even been written yet. My concern: Is six months enough time to write an Adam Sandler movie? Time will tell.
