Good-looking funny guys and real-life bros Adam Scott and Jon Hamm are starring alongside each other in a mysterious 15-minute Adult Swim special, called The Greatest Event in Television History, premiering at midnight on October 11th. Scott co-directed the special with Lance Bangs (Loiter Squad, Jackass) and offered this cryptic explanation to Entertainment Weekly: “We are reconstructing a piece of television history.†Scott has been mum about exactly which classic TV moment he’s remaking for the special, but he has tweeted out three pictures (see below) which don’t make things any less confusing. Here’s hoping it’s an elaborate green-screen re-enactment of those “Whassup?†beer ads.
