OWN has signed a deal with Tyler Perry to be the new “destination†for any new TV shows, including two scripted series that will premiere next year. Finally, an outlet for Tyler Perry! These new shows join Perry’s three other TV shows (For Better or Worse, Meet the Browns, and House of Payne), all of which air on TBS. OWN’s been expanding its talk shows and documentary series, but this marks the network’s first foray into traditional scripted shows, so we’re going to feel pretty sad if Oprah doesn’t guest-star on them now and again.
