Sacha Baron Cohen signed on to play Freddie Mercury in a biopic about the Queen frontman’s life over two years ago, but it’s taken a little while to get production going. Queen guitarist Brian May just released this statement on his official website last week, saying, “The pieces are all falling into place, though we are now on a slightly later schedule - filming is now scheduled to start in the Spring, with Sacha Baron Cohen playing Freddie. The film should be ready for release early in 2014.â€
