Director Werner Herzog is of course known for his hilarious movies, like that rom-com he did about two albino crocodiles or his buddy comedy about a man and a bear. He’ll bring this sensibility to his next directing project, the feature adaptation of DBC Pierre’s Vernon God Little. The book focuses on a small-town teenager who’s accused of being an accomplice after his best friend kills sixteen of their classmates in a school shooting. The book uses his story to take a satirical look at American culture and media. And if the movie comes out flat, Herzog can just add that famous narration of his. (Bavarian is the banana peel of accents.)
