Ratatouille and Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol director Brad Bird has been on a short list of directors fervently sought by an unofficial committee we’ll call Fans Striving to Ensure the High or At Least Passable Quality of Star Wars: Episode VII. So now that Bird’s secrecy-shrouded sci-fi feature 1952 over at Disney is courting George Clooney, can we dismiss rumors that 1952 is a code name for the new Star Wars? Clooney is just so not a fantastical franchise guy.
