Over the summer, Ken Marino starred in an excellent Yahoo! web series called Burning Love that parodied TV dating shows and was created and written by his wife Erica Oyama. Entertainment Weekly reports that the show will be back for a second and third season with Marino and Oyama having once again assembled an amazing group of comedic actors. The new season will star NSTF:SD:SUV’s June Diane Raphael, reprising her role as Julie Gristlewhite from the first season of Burning Love, now at the center of her own dating competition.
Julie’s suitors will be played by a cast that includes just about everyone in comedy (Michael Cera, Adam Scott, Paul Scheer, Rob Huebel, Jerry O’Connell, Joe Lo Truglio, Martin Starr, Colin Hanks, Ryan Hansen, Nick Kroll, Kumail Nanjiani, Nick Thune, Brandon Johnson, and Adam Brody), with Michael Ian Black and Colton Dunn reprising their roles as the show’s host and on-set medic, respectively. The gang also filmed a third season of the show, entitled Burning Down the House, which will bring back many of the favorites from the first two seasons, but now they’re competing entirely for a $900 cash prize instead of for love. Ken Marino will be stepping behind the camera to serve as executive producer alongside Erica Oyama, who returns to write the new seasons. Both seasons will premiere on Yahoo! Screen in 2013. Until then, you can just stare at this picture of some of the world’s funniest people all standing next to each other and wait.
