The Next Trends, Spotted at the Opening Ceremony Sample Sale

The winter sample sale for cool-kid emporium Opening Ceremony rarely disappoints when it comes to street style. This weekend, as downtown boys and girls lined up in Soho for deep discounts on Rodarte, Alexander Wang, and last season’s Kenzo, nearly all showed up in heavy coats, baggy beanies, with scarves and cross-body purses tangled up in their layers. We sent photographer YoungJun Koo to capture the scene, so click ahead to see his photos of New Yorkers getting either a last-minute start on holiday gifts, or an early jump on their Fashion Week looks. And, while you’re zooming in on these shots, note that nearly all wore some form of black leather — boots, bags, leggings, etc. — while running their weekend fashion errand.
