It’s a Cannes highlight Vulture will never forget: Shailene Woodley telling us that her “heart chakra opens up to a million degrees†whenever she sees her good friend Jessica Chastain. (We also watched the two embrace; it was lovely.) And so at the National Board of Review Awards last night, as we were speaking to Chastain about the precariousness of awards season, we were thrilled to hear her give an unprompted shout-out to Woodley: “A performance last year that I thought was incredible that was not nominated for an Oscar was Shailene Woodley [for The Descendants],†she told us. Because the F in BFF is for forever.
