Golden Globes Red Carpet Beauty

Celebrity faces and follicles have spent weeks going through a gauntlet of treatments and scrubs to be in shining shape for the Golden Globes. Many actresses, including Jennifer Lopez, Rachel Weisz, and co-host Tina Fey, decided to leave their hair down in flowing, side-parted, one-shouldered looks which helped keep their necks warm from the evening’s unusually chilly weather. Others favored head-topping buns or the red-carpet version of a bob. Refreshing pops of color turned up on many faces, from Jessica Alba’s orange lips to Nicole Richie’s frosty blue lids. One-shoulder hair: Jennifer Lopez, Rachel Weisz, Tina Fey Use hairspray and good old-fashioned pin-curling with a curling iron to achieve this old Hollywood look. A dollop of Vidal Sassoon gel kept Weisz's mane swept to one side, while a small army of bobby pins secured Lopez's locks.

"She wanted a big lash look so I worked and jiggled the mascara wand every which way," she told the Cut, choosing L'Oreal's Shocking Extensions mascara.

Raspberry lips for redheads: Amy Adams, Isla Fisher, Jessica Chastain Adams's makeup artist Stephen Sollitto told us that the actress envisioned an old Hollywood look. He couldn't confirm whether or not the Hollywood ginger coalition was in cahoots, but Sollitto decided on a Laura Mercier raspberry lip color for Adams that looked considerably more modern than a traditional red.
