George R.R. Martin just signed a two-year overall deal with HBO, meaning he’ll continue executive producing (and likely writing) for the next few seasons of Game of Thrones. He’ll also work to develop and produce further series for the network, surely thrilling fans of Martin’s work and possibly infuriating die-hards eager for Martin to finish authoring his fantasy saga already. Prior to Thrones, Martin wrote for the original Beauty and the Beast show and the eighties iteration of The Twilight Zone.
