The new cable channel Esquire Network (formerly G4) just acquired rights to reair episodes of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Esquire will start airing episodes on a one-week delay Monday through Friday at 7pm on April 24th. This will make Fallon the only late night host whose show is rebroadcast on cable currently. The NBC-owned Esquire also recently acquired cable rerun rights to Party Down and Parks and Recreation, making an impressive grab for hip comedies like IFC did in 2010 when they snatched up rerun rights to Freaks and Geeks, Mr. Show, Larry Sanders, and a bunch of other cool stuff. Hopefully, Esquire will start developing really cool original comedy shows like IFC did too. Parks and Rec and Party Down will join the Esquire Network schedule on April 22nd, two days before Jimmy Fallon does. So,you only have to another couple months if you like Late Night with Jimmy Fallon but can’t stay up late and don’t have a DVR or a good enough internet connection to watch streaming videos.
