HBO announced today that its Vice Presidential comedy Veep, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus and created by Armando Iannucci, is returning for a second season on Sunday, April 14th, at 10:30pm. The whole ensemble cast, made up of Anna Chlumsky, Tony Hale, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, and Sufe Bradshaw, is coming back, with Gary Cole and Kevin Dunn joining up for major recurring roles. The new season will be 10 episodes compared to last season’s eight, continuing HBO’s quest to transition creator Armando Iannucci away from tiny six-episode British seasons, inch by inch.
