This year’s Forbes rundown of the wealthiest artists in hip-hop looks almost exactly like last year’s — except, crucially, everyone got richer. That means that Diddy now has $580 million; Jay-Z is in second place, with $475 million; Dr. Dre is third with $350 million; Birdman is fourth with $150 million; and 50 Cent rounds out the top five with $125 million. The most improved award goes to Dre, who made $80 million from his headphones last year and wisely did not spend any more of it on holograms. (Well, not yet.)
