Kate Moss, Exposed Breasts, Closed Doors, and Other Vuitton Highlights
Today’s Louis Vuitton show brought all the predictable hoopla — celebrities! Kate Moss! — as well as the unpredictable set: a hotel hallway, complete with numbered doors and blue acanthus-print wallpaper. The lingerie-themed collection was built on the same vein of staying behind closed doors in your negligee. (Or, if you must venture out to refill the ice bucket or something, just cover yourself up with whatever fur coat happens to be draped over the ottoman.)
Marc Jacobs told British Vogue that the collection was inspired by nights spent in luxurious hotel rooms with Moss herself, “all dressed up and nowhere to go.” As she has done before, his muse took a lap around the runway herself, tottering noticeably in her heels (those shoes) the way anyone would on their home stretch of a long night.
