Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell are currently filming Anchorman 2 in Atlanta, but they’ll be working on another movie together once production on the long-awaited sequel wraps. THR reports that Kristen Wiig is in talks for the lead role in an independent comedy called Welcome to Me that Ferrell will produce with Adam McKay through their company Gary Sanchez. McKay’s wife, Shira Piven, will direct from a script by Eliot Laurence (The Big Gay Sketch Show). Piven made her directorial debut with another indie comedy, Fully Loaded, which premiered on demand and at film festivals last year. Welcome to Me follows a woman (Wiig) with dissociative identity disorder who wins the lottery and spends her winnings on a cable access show about her life. That basically describes everyone who has a cable access show minus the lottery part.
