It seems jinxed indie Western Jane Got a Gun will continue to exist, now that Bradley Cooper has been brought on to replace Jude Law (who replaced Michael Fassbender) as the film’s villain. With new director Gavin O’Connor at the helm and principals Natalie Portman and Joel Edgerton in place (for now), the sinking ship that is producer Scott Steindorff’s first project with Scott Pictures may have found itself a lifeboat in Cooper. His star power is especially important to international investors who, according to Variety, “began to worry that they had been sold a film with Fassbender as the male lead, not Edgerton.†Did Zero Dark Thirty mean nothing to them?
