Billboard Awards Red-Carpet Highlights: Madonna’s Fishnets, Ke$ha’s Butt Cheek
Last night’s Billboard Awards red carpet was a total circus — literally, as there were live animals present (Nayer’s Shnauzer). Madonna one-upped her own Met Gala outfit with yet more ripped fishnets, garters, another neck padlock, and a jacket crawling with what looked like leather caterpillars. Ke$ha, however, looked uncharacteristically tame until she pivoted to reveal side-slits up to her waist. Meanwhile, Carly Rae Jepsen introduced her mesh-clad bellybutton, Alyssa Milano wore culottes made of mosquito netting, and Jennifer Lopez looked just like she always does in a plunging gold gown. Finally, the aptly named Z LaLa wore what looked like a replica of the Sydney Opera House made of tinfoil, and Jenny McCarthy demonstrated exactly how we’re not supposed to wear this season’s crop-top trend.
It didn’t stop there, though: Once the show started, Justin Bieber performed in pants even droopier than ever before (who knew it was possible!), Erykah Badu debuted a fantastic-looking blonde bob, and Christina Aguilera shimmed around onstage in a black dress with a tiny fringe waist belt.
