Cannes Weekend: Jennifer Lawrence’s Grand Entrance
While the rain relegated many of us to our apartments this weekend for a sad marathon of crappy DIY manicures and Netflix, not even the stormiest weather could keep celebrities from their yacht parties and red carpets in Cannes. Jennifer Lawrence made her grand entrance at the festival on Saturday, swanning up to a screening of Jimmy P. in black-and-white strapless Dior. She liked the dress so much, in fact, that she wore the exact same one in a different color (all white, with some embroidery detailing) to a Hunger Games event later that same day.
Also out and about this weekend: Karl Lagerfeld, who hosted Jessica Chastain, James Franco, Milla Jovovich, and Bérénice Bejo at a party for Chanel and Vanity Fair. Meanwhile, Jessica Biel went out in creamy Marchesa, Eva Longoria wore hairy-looking orange feathers, Paris Hilton wore a one-sleeved jumpsuit, and Rooney Mara trotted out new Vera Wang.
