Theme park Universal Orlando announced this week that they’re expanding to feature a mini-version of the Simpsons’ town Springfield. Building around the park’s existing Simpsons Ride, the Springfield replica will be open to the public sometime this summer. It will feature a new ride, “Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl,†and several restaurants, including Krusty Burger, the Frying Dutchman, Luigi’s Pizza, Lard Lad Donuts, the Bumblee Man’s “Taco Fresho,†and Moe’s Tavern. The area will also feature a Kwik-E-Mart, a Jebediah Springfield statue, the comic book shop, and a Duff bar serving Duff beer that’s brewed exclusively for the park. People in Krusty the Clown and Sideshow Bob suits will be walking around, as well.
