Arrrrr, me maties, you ready to walk the plank? Oh wait, it’s not that type of pirate movie. This one’s super intense and based on a true story. Captain Phillips tells the story of the real-life captain of the Maersk Alabama, the cargo ship that Somali pirates hijacked back in 2009. Tom Hanks, with his Catch Me If You Can Boston accent in tow, plays the captured captain. The Paul Greengrass–directed film hits theaters on October 11. Don’t wear an eye patch to the theater, because (1) it’s not that type of pirate movie, and (2) it’ll probably make the screen look all weird.
