Post-CFDA Partiers: Kate Upton, Wintour, and More

Celebrities and the fashion elite stormed the 2013 CFDA Awards red carpet last night dressed in their most creative lewks, but it was after all of the year’s winners were announced that the best pictures of the night were snapped. There was a triple threat of parties postshow: the official Swarovski After Party of the 2013 CFDA Fashion Awards and Vera Wang CFDA Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award Celebration, plus Riccardo Tisci’s getdown at Westway with Carine Roitfeld for the decidedly more downtown crowd. Here’s a sample of what you would have seen had you attended one, or all three: actress Hailee Steinfeld looking like a sweet, cherubic Juliet; Karlie Kloss blowing kisses in a low-cut dress; the Man Repeller cheesing in a crop top plus blazer; Mickey Boardman of Paper shimmying in a red sequin top; Vera Wang taking a classy sip out of her wine glass; Anna Wintour and her daughter lounging on a couch; Theophilus London licking his lips; and dancers gyrating away in bikinis stuffed with bills. Zachary Quinto, Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara, Sofia Vergara, and Ellie Kemper also showed their famous faces alongside fashion’s biggest names, including Jenna Lyons, Calvin Klein, Hamish Bowles, Prabal Gurung, Michael Kors, Donna Karan, and this list could go on forever. And if it wasn’t official before, seeing the the former “swimsuit model” Kate Upton posing in a room filled with designers proved that she’s been welcomed into the upper echelons. Congrats!
