In the sexually charged new drama Adore, Robin Wright and Naomi Watts play two longtime friends with so much in common: Both are beautiful blondes who live on the Australian shore, each raising a strapping young man of a son. Soon enough, though, the chemistry between Wright and her friend’s son (Xavier Samuel) turns positively sinful — as you’ll see in this exclusive clip, which also features Wright’s fetching Aussie accent — and the ensuing affair prompts Wright’s own son (James Frecheville) to make a retaliatory move on Watts. (To paraphrase the great bard of our time, Janeane Garofalo in The Truth About Cats and Dogs: You can love your best friend’s son, just don’t love your best friend’s son.)
