HBO is developing a comedy for The Mis-Adventures of Awkward Black Girl creator and star Issa Rae. According to Deadline, Rae has teamed up with Larry Wilmore to cowrite a series about “the awkward experiences and racy tribulations of a modern day African-American woman,†which Rae would also star in. She was working on a comedy for Shonda Rhimes as recently as a few months ago, too, so in a perfect world we are approaching the Issa Rae Era of TV Domination.
