Josh Gad continues to be a busy actor. A week after landing a starring role in the upcoming Sam Kinison biopic, Gad has been cast opposite Billy Crystal in his new FX pilot, The Comedians, THR reports. The Comedians is based on the Swedish show of the same name and follows a famous veteran comedian (Crystal) who’s paired up with an edgy young comic (Gad), who despises him, to work on a late night sketch show. Frequent Larry David/Sacha Baron Cohen cohort Larry Charles (Seinfeld, Borat, Curb), Burn Notice creator Matt Nix, and sitcom veteran Ben Wexler (Community) are writing and producing the pilot.
