In a just world (let us pray) Julie Delpy will spend this upcoming awards season in lockstep with Cate Blanchett, since the two actresses have given the best performances of the year so far in Before Midnight and Blue Jasmine, respectively. But even if those voters let us down, Delpy and Blanchett are about to get to know each other much better: Deadline reports that Delpy is signing a deal with HBO to script the movie Cancer Vixen, which will star Blanchett as a New York cartoonist whose life shifts into a new gear after she’s diagnosed with the big C. We are so here for that.
