In addition to being real-life buds and fellow hotties, Channing Tatum and Nick Zano are working together on a half-hour comedy series based on Zano’s experience growing up in a multi-generational New Jersey household run by seven women. Along with pal Reid Carolin, they’ll executive produce a pilot, which just sold to CBS with a script commitment. According to Deadline, the trio had been looking to tell the story of Zano’s life for some time and used momentum from the former What I Like About You star’s recent roles on Happy Endings, Cougar Town and 2 Broke Girls to get Nicky in front of The Eye execs. Zano will star as a 30-year old “trying to finally move out of the house only to realize he needs to stay and help raise his youngest sister.†Rules Of Engagement writers Andrew Reich and Ted Cohen will co-write with Zano.
