HBO announced today the return date for the new season of Lena Dunham’s comedy-drama Girls. Season 3 will debut on Sunday, January 12, 2014, with two back-to-back episodes at 10pm. The third season will consist of 12 episodes, as opposed to previous years, which were just 10 episodes long.
On January 19th, HBO will be premiering a new show following Girls in the 10:30 timeslot. Called Looking, it’s a comedy-drama created by newcomer Michael Lannan that stars Jonathan Groff (Glee), Frankie J. Alvarez, and Murray Bartlett as a trio of gay guys living in San Francisco. It sounds a lot like a gay version of Girls.
