The long-awaited third season of the BBC’s Sherlock will premiere in the United States on January 19 at 10 p.m., PBS tells EW. That’s two weeks after Downton Abbey’s premiere, though that show is currently already airing its fourth season overseas and is thus available on the Internet, should rabid fans seek it out. Note that Sherlock still does not have a U.K. release date but that the BBC of course has first dibs on airing the show — meaning the series will make its British debut sometime before January 19. This again means that it will be on the Internet right after it airs in the U.K., not that anyone would ever condone watching things on the Internet, even something you’ve been waiting for for like, two whole years, while some people went off to make more goddamn Hobbit movies.
