FX has set January premiere dates for Archer and Danny McBride’s new animated sitcom Chozen. The two will air in an animation block on Monday nights at 10 PM, starting January 13. Meanwhile, at the fledgling FXX, the recently announced Ali G: Rezurection will be paired with the second season of Jim Jefferies’ Legit in February.
Chozen, which was originally scheduled to air on FXX, is about a gay white rapper named Chozen who has just been released from prison. It’s executive produced by Archer creator Adam Reed and Eastbound & Down producers Danny McBride, David Gordon Green, and Jody Hill, and includes voices from McBride, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress, Nick Swardson, Kathryn Hahn, and more. The move will likely be a big boost for the freshman show, as Archer is FX’s top-rated comedy.
