The Grace Kelly Look Book

With her Hollywood royalty turned real-life French royalty story, it’s no surprise that Grace Kelly always had impeccable style. The star of movies like Rear Window and the Oscar-winning Country Girl, Kelly had classic, sophisticated taste, favoring feminine dresses with tailored tops and calf-skimming skirts nipped at the waist. With her chic, iconic style, Kelly became an instant fashion plate, inspiring Hermès to rename one of its most popular bags “the Kelly” after the actress regularly carried the style. At the age of 26, the American actress left the movie business to marry Prince Rainier III of Monaco, and wore what is now one of the most famous wedding dresses of all time: a dramatic gown with a long-sleeve lace top, fitted bodice, and flared taffeta skirt designed by MGM’s costume designer, Helen Rose. In honor of her 84th birthday, which would have been today, take a look back at the actress’s timeless style in our look book.
