Flight attendant Louann Giambattista is suing Jay Leno, The Tonight Show, and NBC over a segment that she says accused her of “engaging in bestiality and sexual misconduct with a rat.†The segment stemmed from another lawsuit Giambattista filed against her employer Americna Airlines, in which she said that her co-workers had falsely said that “she was carrying her pet rats onto work flights, and concealing them in her pantyhose or underwear.†Panelists Alec Mapa, Kira Soltanovich, and Jim Norton were given the topic as part of Leno’s topical segment “Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda,†where Giambattista says she was “systematically criticized, defamed, and humiliated.†Apparently a lot of people in her neighborhood watch The Tonight Show; she claims that after the segment aired, she and her husband “became pariahs in their own community,†and that along with her own career being ruined, her husband’s ability to work in the food industry was put at risk.
Below, watch the original Tonight Show segment from back in August and judge for yourself.
