Peter Jackson made LOTR fans wait four months between trailers one and two for the latest Hobbit installment, but with the film’s release about a month away, the director has been more forthcoming. On Monday in Wellington, New Zealand he screened more footage during a “worldwide fan event,†which involved the film’s stars attending simultaneous events in New York, Los Angeles, and London. The event concluded with the unveiling of a new trailer for The Desolation of Smaug. It features a bit more of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Smaug, plenty of Luke Evans, and enough shots of Orlando Bloom as Legolas to tide you over until the film’s December 13 opening.
