Last week, we told you about the report that revealed that Hollywood’s “No Animal Were Harmed†credit was B.S. One particularly horrifying example came from the set of Life of Pi, in which the tiger almost drowned to its death. Well, Taiwan News was able to ask the film’s director, Ang Lee, about the ordeal. Lee said they did “everything [they] could,†but admitted, “it was an accident.†Adding, “The crew worked hard to rescue the tiger and then showed him a lot of care, giving him five-star treatment.†So if Ang Lee ever opens a five-star hotel, probably don’t stay there.
