‘Chelsea Lately’s Fortune Feimster to Star in Tina Fey’s New Fox Comedy ‘Cabot College’

Tina Fey is producing two new sitcoms for the fall, and a bunch of plot details and castings were just released for the one she has set up at Fox. The comedy has a working title of Cabot College, and Chelsea Lately writer/performer Fortune Feimster has been cast as one of the main characters, THR reports. Bonnie Dennison (Third Watch) and Broadway actor Jack Cutmore-Scott have also been as regulars in the college comedy.

Created by longtime 30 Rock writer/producer Matt Hubbard, Cabot College is a multi-camera sitcom executive produced by Fey and her 30 Rock co-showrunner Robert Carlock. Fox won a bidding war for the show back in August, beating NBC and other networks and giving the show a straight-to-series commitment as part of Fox’s new initiative to order full-on series and cut down on pilots. Cabot College is the second show Tina Fey sold for the fall after her NBC series starring Ellie Kemper.

The series follows a womens college that starts letting male students in for the first time. Feimster is playing Becca, a popular sophomore who is a lesbian. Dennison has been cast as Thena, a feminist sophomore who’s part of the school’s population who doesn’t want men allowed to enroll, and Cutmore-Scott is playing Charlie Deckard, a wealthy, Kennedy-esque freshman. Feimster will continue to be a regular panelist on Chelsea Lately.
