Chris Hemsworth has been tapped to announce the Oscar nominations on Thursday morning, the Academy announced today. (He’ll present with Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Cheryl Boone Isaacs.) Last year Emma Stone announced the winners alongside host Seth MacFarlane, who made some crummy jokes (foreshadowing!), so this year they’re just trotting out Thor to keep things nice and simple and tasteful and muscular. Time to step up your game, Liam, or else you’re never going to be the better Hemsworth.
