After ordering a pilot in the fall, Comedy Central announced today that they’ve given a series order to a new comedy called Big Time in Hollywood, FL. The network has ordered 10 episodes of the series, created by Alex Anfanger and Dan Schimpf, who also created the popular web series Next Time on Lonny. Big Time follows two brothers who are aspiring filmmakers going on a cinematic journey after being kicked out of their parents’ house. Ben Stiller is executive producing via his company Red Hour, and the show stars Anfanger, Lenny Jacobson, Kathy Baker, Stephen Tobolowsky and Jon Bass. This is the second new Comedy Central show announced today following Conan writer Scott Gairdner’s animated cop show Moonbeam City.
