Fresh off being named in our five most anticipated albums, movies, books, and TV shows of the winter list, St. Vincent has released a second song off her self-titled fourth album, which is set for a February 25 release. “Digital Witness,†like the first single “Birth in Reverse,†delivers on St. Vincent’s mission statement for the album: “I wanted to make a party record you could play at a funeral.†Reminiscent of the 2012 album she released with David Byrne, the track is spastically funky and bleak enough to soundtrack minimum at a cool Shiva.
