The Dan Harmon-helmed Community finally returned to NBC’s airwaves last night with a double-episode season premiere from 8:00-9:00PM, but the ratings don’t look so great. According to Deadline, the show scored a 1.3 rating, down 32% from the season 4 premiere last February, and even lost viewers during the second half hour, slipping from 3.7 to 3.4 million viewers. That makes last night Community’s lowest rated season opener yet, but it still beat out NBC’s other comedies Sean Saves the World and The Michael J. Fox Show, which both fell to series lows with an 0.8 rating. Hopefully Community’s numbers can recover now that it’ll have a relatively steady schedule for the next few weeks before getting totally screwed up again throughout February thanks to the Olympics.
