It’s only been a little over a month since Louis C.K. signed a multi-year development deal with FX to create and produce new shows, but it looks like he already has another hit series lined up for the network. At TCA today, FX announced that C.K. has landed a pilot order for an untitled project starring and co-written with Zach Galifanakis. Details on the show’s plot are slim right now, but chances are it will get picked up to series and be amazing.
Although both C.K. and Galifianakis both started doing comedy around the same time and had major career breakthroughs in 2009, this is the first project they have worked on together. The pilot order also marks the first sale for C.K.’s production company Pig Newton and is a pretty exciting sign for C.K.’s future as a show creator and developer. Hopefully it’s the first of many sales, for both his sake and ours.
