Milan Street Style, Day 1: Furry Jackets and Bucket Bags

Milan Fashion Week is underway and, despite some rain, the climate is warmer than New York — which is in itself a reason to celebrate. A hint of spring was immediately evident on the streets: Joan Smalls put a lingerie-like one-piece under a fur jacket and boyfriend jeans; La Repubblica’s Simone Marchetti and Tatler Russia’s Anya Ziourova paired bright-yellow coats with newsboy caps, and Anna Dello Russo opted for a one-shouldered Saint Laurent bedazzled top.

There was also a wide assortment of whimsical bucket bags: a popcorn shoulder bag, a “HELP” clutch, and a bag upon which a Fendi Buggie met Daisy Duck. Click through our slideshow to see YoungJun Koo’s first dispatch from the streets of Milan.
