As you have perhaps heard, Jimmy Fallon is leaving Late Night for the Tonight Show — but not without doing one last Internet-friendly performance for everyone to remember him by. To close out his final Late Night broadcast on Friday, Fallon invited the Muppets onstage to help him sing a version of a song guaranteed to make certain people choke up over just about anything: The Band’s “The Weight.†Highlights include Animal’s unhinged interpretation of the “put the load right on me†line and Kermit altering the lyrics to be about Miss Piggy. In less soulful news: With 6.6 million viewers, Fallon’s last episode brought in the highest Late Night ratings ever.
