Deadline reports that Nas is developing a half-hour series for Xbox. Entitled Street Dreams, which may or may not be an intentional pun on sweet dreams, the semi-autobiographical show will focus on a young rapper in the 1990s. The show will be set in a Queensbridge housing project, which is where Nas grew up. Jonathan Levine, whose 2008 film The Wackness was a semi-autobiographical account of his own time growing up in New York City in the ‘90s, is attached to write and direct. Nas will be involved in the writing, the music, and providing cred for the video-game-system show.
