Based on the new Transformers: Age of Extinction trailer, Michael Bay’s latest is about a small-town girl, living in a lonely world recently besieged by giant robotic aliens. While the feds might not want the Transformers around anymore, they’re sure going to need them when some other robots show up to take all of our American flags. While parts of the trailer make Transformers look like Mark Wahlberg’s Texas-sized, hyper-patriotic version of Taken, things become slightly less watchable once the Transformers actually start fighting. Why would a space robot need a parachute? Hopefully that Dinobot will keep things moving along. Oh man, you just know he’s going to eat a flag.
