You may need to pretend there’s something in your eye, because Quvenzhané Wallis’s version of “Tomorrow†is just as sweet as you would imagine. Based on the Annie remake’s first trailer, the Beasts of the Southern Wild actress plays the titular orphan across from Jamie Foxx’s Benjamin Stacks, a politician/monster who plans to leverage his affection for Annie to appeal to his constituents. Oh, and Cameron Diaz might be in it for a split second as Miss Hannigan. It’s hard to tell. Rose Byrne costars as Grace, Stacks’s assistant/decent human being who understands that children need to be loved. Our question is, are we going to get an Obama cameo to replace the original musical’s FDR guest spot?
