Hollywood super-producer Megan Ellison is bringing her Oscar-nominated instincts to television. Deadline reports that Ellison’s production and distribution company Annapurna Pictures, which made American Hustle, Her and Zero Dark Thirty, is working on its first major TV project, focusing on the overlapping lives of Hollywood rivals Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich. Ellison will executive produce and Hung and L Word duo Angela Robinson and Alex Kondracke will write the script. Set in Hollywood’s Golden Age, the show will cover the starlets’ relationship with icons like Cary Grant, Barbara Stanwyck and John Wayne. Bring on the period garb!
