If you weren’t already psyched about Maya Rudolph’s upcoming variety special for NBC, this ought to do it: Vulture has snagged the very first photograph to emerge from the set of The Maya Rudolph Show. Taken during rehearsal, the picture below features Rudolph and four of her dancers outside of the show’s set and in full song-and-dance mode. The photo isn’t particularly mysterious, but there are a couple of fun, small details worth noting, including the rolling cart of faux hair labeled “Maya’s Wigs.†(does the presence of a blonde one mean we’ll see Donatella?) And right above Rudolph, you can also check out what appears to be the show’s logo, complete with Four Mayas Dancing. The Maya Rudolph Show, a one-hour special which could turn into a weekly series, was taped a few days ago and is scheduled to air May 19, right after The Voice. As previously announced, Fred Armisen, Kristen Bell, Sean Hayes, Chris Parnell, Craig Robinson, and Andy Samberg will guest star, Janelle Monae will do a musical number, and Raphael Saadiq is onboard as bandleader.
