It’s been a hot second since every ‘90s heartthrob was all but required to cut his chiseled jaw on the film version of a John Grisham novel, but soon Zac Efron will take up the mantle once carried by the likes of Tom Cruise, Matthew McConaughey, and Denzel Washington. The Neighbors actor has signed on to produce an adaptation of 2009’s The Associate, and will star as a Yale Law grad blackmailed into spying on a lawsuit between defense contractors. Ah, we can picture him running through a darkened parking garage with a briefcase while looking over his shoulder already.
