According to The Hollywood Reporter, Depp is in talks with Lionsgate to play famed magician Harry Houdini. But he won’t just be escaping from straitjackets and handcuffs. The Secret Life of Houdini: The Making of America’s First Superhero (based on a book of the same title) posits Houdini as “an investigator of the world of the the occult.†Turns out Depp’s Houdini could be the best weapon we have against witches.
